One more week to go and my family will be going back to our newly renovated house in the upper suburbs. Few areas were renovated, including the bedrooms, living room, and the dining room. Almost sixty percent of the renovation occurred in my children’s bedroom. I got four kids, 2 boys 14 and 13 years old, and 2 girls aging 6 and 8 years old. My kids are excited to go back and check out their new bedrooms.
For the boys, their room is painted blue, with two beds placed in the right side of the room. The boys’ beds are individually covered with different character mattresses. Between the beds, we placed a standing lamp to provide an equal lighting system for the room. On the left side of the room is the boys’ working area, this is the area where we placed their desktop computer and book dividers. This is where they will be doing their school assignments, and other things that are school related. And lastly, the previous powder blue colored flooring was changed into grey tiles to have a more of a masculine touch.
As for my girls, their room is painted pink and purple. Their room has its own air conditioning system, and a newly built bathroom. For their bed, we consider of having a bunk bed. The bunk bed for kids is more of a princess inspired bed that looks like a castle with make shift pink towers on the bed’s exterior part. The bed itself is covered with light purple colored mattress. On the right side of the room is the bathroom with white and pink interiors. And On the left side is the girls’ playing area.
The master’s bedroom, living room, and the dining room only had a few renovations which includes the color change of the floorings from plain grey to white, the change in lighting system from white fluorescent to light orange chandelier in all of the three rooms, and additional centralized air conditioning that covers the living room and the dining room. We also added a beautifully refurbished Baker Milton cabinet in the master’s bedroom. We got the cabinet and some new accessories from Ethosource in an absolutely lower price.
My husband and I decided not to have much renovation on the master’s bedroom since we still find the room to be perfect and in good interior condition. Also, we just want our interior designer to focus on the kids’ bedroom because the kids are growing up, and we want their bedrooms to be appropriate for their age.
Our newly renovated house is so amazing, and I would like to thank my interior designer and her team of fabulous, creative, and efficient assistant for their hard work and dedication in renovating the place. We simply can’t wait to move back and throw a party. I’m sure our friends and relatives would love to visit and check out our place.
